Absinthe La Perchée is distilled on a Farm near the French / Swiss border, approximately 10km distance from Pontarlier. All botanicals appart from Anise seed is cultivated on the Farm own land in an altitude of 1100m. It's an Absinthe Superieur with 72% vol. Alcohol. It's rich bouquet derives from a formula dating back to the haydays of Absinthe back in the 19th century. It benefits from its natural coloration based on herbs like small wormwood, melissa and hysop. It's basically a short maceration that adds chlorophyll AND aromas to the distilled Absinthe. It's fresh and spicey without being too strong on Anise. This high quality Absinthe might surprise connoisseures and should be diluted with icecold water in a ration of 1:3 to 1:4. It's up to personal tasting adding a little bit of sugar.
