The fruit
It takes fully ripe bananas for the typical warm fruit character to reach the brandy. That is what matters here: ripeness, not quantity.
Aroma & taste
Ripe banana on the nose, soft and exotic, with a gently creamy note. Full and aromatic on the palate, the fruit clearly recognisable, the finish warm and long. Distilled dry — not a sweet liqueur.
How to enjoy it
Neat at around 16–18 °C in a brandy glass. An extraordinary digestif — and a sure talking point at any tasting.

His aim is simple to state and hard to achieve: preserve the character of a fruit in its original form and concentrate it in the glass — until aroma, colour and taste become one. Nothing added from the outside, no shortcuts. Only the best raw fruit, carefully handled.
Single-variety by conviction
The range holds over 100 different fruit brandies and liqueurs. Hiebl specialises in single-variety distillation — especially of apples and pears — so each variety keeps its own character instead of disappearing into a blend.
Craft Distillery of the Year 2026
At Craft Spirits Berlin 2026, Europe's most important competition for craft spirits, Hiebl prevailed against 120 distilleries from 17 nations to take the overall title: Craft Distillery of the Year 2026. From 47 entries came four "Best in Class" golds, plus 19 further gold, 20 silver and 8 bronze medals — on top of several earlier "Distiller of the Year" honours.
