Unlike the Geist, this brandy is made from fermented raspberries — the mash matures before it is distilled. That costs fruit and effort, but it gives the brandy a depth and a body the Geist doesn't have.
Geist or Brand?
The Geist shines bright and fresh; the fermented brandy goes deep: rounder, warmer, fuller. Two routes, one berry — and both worth it. That this brandy took Gold at Craft Spirits Berlin speaks for itself.
Aroma & taste
Ripe raspberry on the nose, deep and warm, with a slightly jammy fullness. Full and round on the palate, the fruit carried by real body, with a long, warm finish.
How to enjoy it
Neat at around 16–18 °C in a brandy glass. Not too cold — the full body of this brandy wants warmth to open up.

His aim is simple to state and hard to achieve: preserve the character of a fruit in its original form and concentrate it in the glass — until aroma, colour and taste become one. Nothing added from the outside, no shortcuts. Only the best raw fruit, carefully handled.
Single-variety by conviction
The range holds over 100 different fruit brandies and liqueurs. Hiebl specialises in single-variety distillation — especially of apples and pears — so each variety keeps its own character instead of disappearing into a blend.
Craft Distillery of the Year 2026
At Craft Spirits Berlin 2026, Europe's most important competition for craft spirits, Hiebl prevailed against 120 distilleries from 17 nations to take the overall title: Craft Distillery of the Year 2026. From 47 entries came four "Best in Class" golds, plus 19 further gold, 20 silver and 8 bronze medals — on top of several earlier "Distiller of the Year" honours.
