The saffron absinthe gets its taste from a combination of distilled plants and the maceration of saffron, giving it a rich golden color. This aromatic bouquet also sweetens it naturally, bringing out intensely pleasant saffron notes. Nevertheless, this absinthe retains a dominant note of wild plants and anise.
This absinthe is made and distilled in exactly the same way as the Absinthe before the 1915 ban. This particular recipe was the subject of a long year of research by the creator of the Awen Nature Distillery.
