The distillery "Les fils d'Emile Pernot" was founded Founded in 1890 by Emile Pernot in Pontarlier, the birthplace of absinthe. When, after 25 years of absinthe production, the "green fairy" was banned in 1915 became, one reorientated oneself and began to use anise, fir, gentian and to distill berry schnapps. The taste is clear and pure with a strong, dry aniseed bouquet. Far in the back there is a pleasantly bitter one Aftertaste noticeable but never overpowering or unpleasant.
