Coeur de Jade is the bespoke “eau de vie du vin” prepared for Jade Liqueurs, and serves as the base spirit for Jade’s portfolio of fine Absinthes and Perique Tobacco Liqueur. Jade has elected to bottle this fragrant brandy following many requests to do so by those fortunate enough to visit the distillery and sample the spirit. Coeur de Jade represents the culmination of several years of development to perfect a base spirit true to history. The result is an eau de vie that possesses the aromatic profile typical of 19th century eau de vie. Unlike most commercial wine spirits distilled from modern, efficient columns, Coeur de Jade isn’t stripped of the character that contributes to the velvety mouth feel of Jade’s Absinthes and Liqueur. Those who enjoy eau de vie and grappas will appreciate Coeur de Jade on its own, while bar chefs will find Coeur de Jade as a more flavorful alternative to vodka as a base for creative cocktails. Composition - French eau de vie distilled to 19th century specification and reduced to 42% ABV. Appearance – Crystal clear Taste – A smooth, aromatic eau de vie that retains artifacts of the original fruit, without bitter or vegetal off-flavors.

Jade Liqueurs

Jade Liqueurs was founded in 2000 by T.A. Breaux founded. The scientist has been studying the mysteries and myths of absinthe for over a decade. Researching forgotten and overlooked documents around the globe, he unearthed the truth of this fabled spirit.

Jade Liquers products give connoisseurs the opportunity to enjoy faithful reproductions of classic absinthe, just like he inspired the creative spirits of the Belle Epoque. Jade Liquers produces absinthe that is as close as no other to the historical models. This was made possible because T.A. Breaux and his associates have historically collected and scientifically analyzed large numbers of unopened 19th-century absinthe bottles.

His research has been reported in books, magazines, newspapers, television and documentaries. Writers, researchers and historians regularly ask about his extensive knowledge of the subject. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, T.A. Breaux contributed to publications such as Absinthe, Sip of Seduction: A Contemporary Guide (Corvus Publishing - ISBN: 0972577610) and Absinthe, A Myth always green (L'Esprit Frappeur - ISBN: 2844052002). He is currently in the process of writing some more texts on the subject.
