In 2000 the company Absinthevertrieb was founded and specialized with his online shop absinthe.de on authentic Absinthe, which he from France, the Switzerland and Spain imported. For several years, gin has been booming worldwide. In the past it went so far that we got new gins on the table every day. The quality of the gin we have selected for you has convinced us. It's not necessarily always about ultra-premium gin, but rather about English gin, Swiss gin, or French gin, Czech gin. and of course German Gin with special properties. Be it the hand-painted label of the Swiss Tschin or the Tarquin's Gin, which is distilled in tiny batches. Lion Spirits was founded in 2000 as a pure absinthe online shop. That this has evolved is in the nature of things, but of course our heart still beats for absinthe and we can justifiably claim to be one of the absinthe experts in the world. We were the first to bring Kübler absinthe to Germany, it was also us who introduced products from the Distillerie Armand Guy and the Distillerie les Fils d'Emile Pernot, as well as Devoille, Lemercier, and Combier or Jade Absinthe. With Oliver Matter we started developing the Absinthe Duplais series right after absinthe was legalized in Switzerland (2005). Later Absinthe Brevans, Absinthe Mansinthe (in collaboration with Marilyn Manson), Absinthe Pigalle, Absinthe Nouvelle Vague and many more were added. For us it is especially important that absinthe is brought out of the dirty corner. Many retailers offer products with arguments such as extremely high alcohol or thujone content, which we do not take seriously. We are not looking for drug-like effects, we are looking for the most authentic possible reproduction of the spirit of the Belle Epoque.

Distillates are only as good as their ingredients. The manufacturing processes are different, but the excellent quality of the gourmet spirits available from us always comes first. Choose, for example, a fruity fruit brandy made from single-variety and fully ripe fruit by distilleries such as Faude Feine Brande or Martin Zufanek, or a spicy herbal distillate. The latter are created by maceration and distillation. Herbs are first placed in fine alcohol to extract their aromas. This is followed by distillation, in which the flavored alcohol is separated from the water. One then also speaks of a spirit. Among other things, gin is made in this way. With absinthe, wormwood, aniseed and fennel are at the center of every recipe. Since the absinthe ban was lifted in Switzerland in 2005, we have been reproducing historically authentic absinthe together with Oliver Matter. Our Absinthe Duplais brand is one of the best absinthes in the world. Absinthe Mansinthe was created through collaboration with American shock rocker Marilyn Manson. In 2007, the jury of the San Francisco World Spirits Competition awarded a gold medal to our "Beginner's Absinthe". The trend drink of recent years is preferably drunk with tonic water.

While spirits may only be sweetened minimally, liqueurs are characterized by a pronounced sweetness. The minimum content of sugar is set by the legislature to 100gr. set per liter. For crèmes, this value is at least 250 g per liter, which makes the Combier crèmes in particular incredibly intense. Sugar is a special flavor carrier and especially when it comes to crème de cacao Le Vert Spain from Distillerie Guy is a pine needle liqueur that, as an aperitif with tonic water, has a completely natural aroma that is extremely well received.

The start of an evening meal starts in style with an aperitif. Bitter and vermouth open a meal as small cocktails with a bitter-fruity taste and are light, natural appetizers. A Negroni or Americano pairs beautifully with savory pastries and a few olives. With Gran Classico Bitter and Kina l'Aero d'Or you can be sure to score points with your guests.
